As part of its ongoing work to cultivate creativity and inspire our community through the arts, ShoreLake Arts seeks to honor those who embody that mission in their work or personal lives.   ShoreLake Arts is proud to present three well deserved awards each year at the annual Gala for the Arts.

FAQs

Q: Where do the funds raised go?

A:  ShoreLake Arts focus this year is, "Art Saves". Our primary focus is art classes for children & adults and programming that supports and uplifts our community.  We offer such as public events like Concerts in the Park, the Lantern Festival, 6x6NW, Battle of the Bands, and more just for you! To keep our classes & programming accessible, we need YOUR support.

 

Q: Who were the 2024 award winners?

A: Philip Attipoe was awarded the Heart Award posthumously

The Cities of Shoreline &  Lake Forest Part were awarded our Community Partner Award

London Bridge Studios received our Community Impact Award

Q: Is the 2025 event virtual or in-person?

A: In person! We're delighted to celebrate art with you, so the Dinner, Awards Ceremony, and Live Auction are in person! 

Q. What should I wear?

A: Our 2025 theme is Paint the Town!

 

Q: What time does event and program start on March 15th, 2025?

A: Happy Hour starts at 5:00 pm with appetizers, games, art project & more!. The dinner, awards and live auction will begin at 6:00 pm.  And don't forget the Dessert Dash!

 

Q. What is happening during the evening?

A: Besides the usual, this year the evening will begin with check in and Happy Hour.  New this year is a unique art project for you to make and take home with you all while you listen to some cool jazz!

 

Q: What are the different ticket options?

Gala Ticket/Table

A: Includes access to the in-person Gala held at Shoreline Community College 9000 Student Union P.U.B Tables seat 8 and tickets are individual.

HeART Award

Presented to a member or members of the ShoreLake Arts community whose long-standing and consistent commitment to the organization has advanced our mission in significant ways.  The award winner’s lasting impact has been vital to our organization’s ongoing health and longevity.  Such individuals are the very heart of ShoreLake Arts.

Community pARTner Award

NEW! 

Presented to a public or private entity (nonprofit, business, or government) that has inspired and encouraged arts and culture in the cities of Shoreline and/or Lake Forest Park.  With passion, innovation, and commitment to advancing the arts, this organization has made significant contributions to our community promoting and expanding the richness of life possible in a community centered in the arts and culture.  This award is intended to honor past achievements and express excitement for future endeavors.

Community Arts Impact Award

NEW!

Presented to a person that has made substantial and long-lasting contributions to the arts in Shoreline and/or Lake Forest Park.  This award honors an individual who has elevated arts and culture in our community through visionary leadership, creativity, philanthropy, advocacy, and/or volunteerism.  Through his or her significant impact on the arts in our community, the award winner has embodied the mission of ShoreLake Arts by cultivating creativity and inspiring our community through the arts.

Artist Spotlight Award

Presented to an artist who lives or presents work in Shoreline or Lake Forest Park whose creations have contributed to the excellence of the arts in Shoreline and Lake Forest Park and enriched the cultural landscape of the community.
