This is an unusual print in that it is actually made by printing with a pie wedge shaped, carved block. The wedge print is repeated 8 times to create the repeating, circular pattern. I've always found honey bees intriguing. My Dad had hives when I was growing up. It is just amazing to me that they can communicate through the wiggle dance. And of course the concern for the decline of bees and all that they do for us helped inspire this block print.
